In case you missed it… we recently facilitated a Triathlon camp for Smiling Tri Coaches. They brought 12 strong athletes out to Jalon valley and the energy levels were high! We did pool swim sessions, short and long bikes, with and without run offs, yoga, running, supported sea swims, massage and even managed a night out! As coached athletes ourselves it was great to be part of the team and we all gained so much from it!

All this got Mark and I thinking about Cycle Retreats and what other weeks we could offer to complement our different cycling ability weeks. The move to our new Retreat and permanent home, means we have so much more flexibility, plus we have learnt so much from being triathletes and hosting Smiling Tri, we have decided to launch Tri Retreats.

Mark is going to look to complete his level 2 Tri Coaching qualifications, and coupled with the high quality of care we already give to our Retreats family, we are going to launch two triathlon weeks in our next season. One will be aimed at people who are beginners to Triathlon, or lacking in some confidence (chilling tri), and a second one for mixed abilities, for athletes who might be looking to have some training, done Cycle Retreats’ Style! We have started to pull everything together and we are super excited about them!

We will only have 8 spaces on the Tri Retreat. This way we can give all of our athletes a really great experience, whilst dedicating time to concentrate on what they want to achieve. All aspects of this wonderful sport will be taken into consideration.

Dates for Triathlon Retreats are :–

  • Chilling Triathlon Week – Feb 27th -3rd March
  • Mixed ability Triathlon Week – 20th-27th March
