Girona is a city in Spain’s north-eastern Catalonia region, beside the River Onyar. It’s known for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell) and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress. Landscaped gardens line the Passeig Arqueològic, a walkway following the Old Quarter’s medieval walls, which include watchtowers with sweeping views

Girona, was the location of our very first pop up back in 2019 and is back by popular demand. Girona really is a paradise for cyclists and is known as a favourite to many a professional cyclist. The area provides a diverse range of terrain including some epic climbs, coastal routes all wrapped around a wonderfully historic centre.

A stunning property in the rural outskirts of Girona only a short drive or cycle away from the city, but far enough to enjoy the tranquillity of this new and exciting location.

This Retreat is an authentic Catalonian property and has three floors, each with private rooms and en-suites. This Retreat boasts many beautiful relaxation areas, both inside and outside, plus acres of land for you to explore.

Enjoy a wonderful dip in our inviting swimming pool after a day in the saddle, just before relaxing and tucking into our goodies in the well-stocked notorious Cycle Retreats’ fridge!

Feel free to bring your own bike, but if you don’t want the stress of transporting your pride and joy, we have it covered. Our hire bikes are all fully carbon with Shimano 105 or Ultegra Di2 group set.

Your package cost:

  • 2,250.00€ per person

Bike Hire is available at an additional cost of 200 euros. We will email you about your bike requirements once you have booked on. You can see more about our bike hire on our bike hire page.

F.A.Q

How does payment work?

To secure the booking we ask all riders to pay a 20% deposit of the full value of the booking. The full balance is due 60 days before your arrival date. Any bookings made within 60 days of arrival; payment in full is required.

I've booked, what happens now?

Once you are confirmed on a Retreat we will send you your Retreat Pack which will have all the information and advice you need.  There is also a bike hire form with the various options available and we will be here to advise and assist you.  It will help if you can return this form to us as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling in plenty of time.

What date does your season start each year?

We’re open every week from October to May, this allows you to escape the winter chills and travel to paradise.

What is the duration of your holidays

We offer two different types of holidays; 4 and 7 night Holidays.

How fit do I need to be?

Our trips are physically demanding and we support every rider to challenge themselves on the bike. Mark has given his own personal opinion on how fit you need to be for our retreats in his blog post. Typically we ride between 75 – 120 kilometres each day. We are not a training camp and are focused on you having a challenging yet relaxed holiday.  We rate each route in terms of difficulty so you can see if it is for you (see the routes page).  For group bookings, we can create a bespoke cycling itinerary to ensure you get the best out of your time with us.
