The French Alps are the portions of the Alps mountain range that stand within France, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions. While some of the ranges of the French Alps are entirely in France, others, such as the Mont Blanc massif, are shared with Switzerland and Italy.

Take on the best know climbs and prepare to cycle the legendary Cols in the French Alps. France is a haven for cyclists all over the world.

Our French Alps tour is new to 2023 and takes in some of the classic iconic climbs often featured on the Tour de France and really is a trip of lifetime memories. A stunning and very special tour over 7 nights. We collect you from Geneva Airport before heading over to the beautiful starting location of Annecy. A stunning back drop to start this tour.

Over the following days we cycle our way through some of the most beautiful scenery including the iconic climbs of the French Alps. The climbs include Galibier, Telegraphe, Coll de Madeline to name a few; and of course, finishing with the iconic Alpe d’Huez.

Please note as with all our tours Itinerary is examples and will be finalized before the tour starts.

F.A.Q

How does payment work?

To secure the booking we ask all riders to pay a 20% deposit of the full value of the booking. The full balance is due 60 days before your arrival date. Any bookings made within 60 days of arrival; payment in full is required.

I've booked, what happens now?

Once you are confirmed on a Retreat we will send you your Retreat Pack which will have all the information and advice you need.  There is also a bike hire form with the various options available and we will be here to advise and assist you.  It will help if you can return this form to us as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling in plenty of time.

What date does your season start each year?

We’re open every week from October to May, this allows you to escape the winter chills and travel to paradise.

What is the duration of your holidays

We offer two different types of holidays; 4 and 7 night Holidays.

How fit do I need to be?

Our trips are physically demanding and we support every rider to challenge themselves on the bike. Mark has given his own personal opinion on how fit you need to be for our retreats in his blog post. Typically we ride between 75 – 120 kilometres each day. We are not a training camp and are focused on you having a challenging yet relaxed holiday.  We rate each route in terms of difficulty so you can see if it is for you (see the routes page).  For group bookings, we can create a bespoke cycling itinerary to ensure you get the best out of your time with us.
